Return from the Retreat

Having returned to our everyday lives  -and Christmas breaks-  from full immersion in a simple yet powerful inhale-exhale Hatha Yoga intensive with Mark in Fiji,  this is when we  begin to see the lasting effects the retreat:   If we are doing our Yoga actually and naturally,  and most importantly the effects a daily practice has on our relationships and our intimacy with Life itself. With cyclones, work environment, family…

We made a simple promise to do our daily Yoga.  In return we were promised optimal health, better relationships and more intimacy.  Many immediate break-through:s already happened on the retreat, some regarding health issues, in relationships and  also in defining personal direction in life with clarity. All of them big things.

Some of us were blessed to have our partners with us on the retreats. Sometimes it is easier to see the change in other people, especially in our significant Other.  I certainly was, once again, struck by the instantaneous positive change when irregular practice turned daily.  Our intimacy got an instant boost, as well as my partner’s health, namely a previously elevated blood pressure which upon return from the retreat was back to normal again.  One of the highlights in Savusavu was the ceremony for a couple renewing their  wedding vows after 20+ years of marriage.  One yogini’s  partner attended his very first, then second and third yoga class on the retreat, without the initial intention of doing any yoga at all during the week. He is now keeping his promise and doing daily practice, with joy.

Some post-retreat comments so far :

“Thank you for suggesting me to come to Fiji, the best thing I have ever done.”    Yoga teacher – London

“I found the cyclone experience with all it’s uncertainties and disruptions to plans a somewhat interesting practice in putting yogic principles into action. Focus on what you can do and relax and surrender up the rest!! So many good things came of that. more time to practice Mark’s intelligent and insightful teachings in the shala, both by myself and sharing with David (who has stuck to his promise of daily practice!).  A big thankyou to you and Mark for sharing your unique gifts, it was a privilege to be a part of a group of like minded souls.
And, yes, I think David may well continue down a path I have been traversing myself for some time now (wonderful!!).”        Melanie – Adelaide

“What can I say?  Two weeks of amazing learning, experiencing and growing, both personally and as a couple – surrounded by beautiful nature and lovely people.  Simple and yet amazingly powerful tools for Living, Loving and Being.  So many things stick in my mind, like Mark’s ‘feel Better and Feel better’ line – which is proving so so true.  I Love my life, I Love my woman, and I am loving my Yoga!!”                 Andrew – Sydney (ex London…)
